BBB: I was born and raised in Vallejo in close proximately to this merchant. I support local merchants in Vallejo when I visit my Dad even though I have since moved to Martinez. I pop into this store periodically to purchase lottery tickets for my wife. I have, in the past, witnessed this store owner verbally abusing minority customers and treating them in a very disrespectful manner. Unfortunately today (10/26/09), this language and treatment was directed at me when I presented "winning" lottery tickets. He called me a thief after reviewing my tickets which is totally unacceptable. I work everyday, I have no reason to steal. I am a 50 year old man and I expect RESPECT when I patronize a store. I am confident this is not a merchant the BBB wishes to endorse. I am positive the BBB does not condone this type of behavior towards any Vallejo residents. This incident was very disturbing for me, pls contact my wife, Benita Teat, 925.280.5111, Mon - Fri, 9am-5pm. to discuss further. Thank you for acting on my comments.
