Re: Plymouth store. They sell nice things but if you hope to consign w/them, they are very, very particular about what they accept - even very lovely clothes that are in beautiful condition with top brand names (Land's End, LL Bean, etc). Don't expect that they will take your items unless they are brand new within the past 9 months no matter if they are in top condition. Everything must be ironed and on hangers at which time they will transfer the clothes and return your hangers. They want everything laundered and cleaned yet I bought a jacket there which was dirty and had perfume on it. It became a headache jumping through all their loops only to be turned away. I was told conflicting answers about what they would and would not accept. After hauling a load of items there, most of my items were turned away. I had to argue with them over some items they were going to refuse. It was like pulling teeth. The two employees complained and vacillated in their opinions over my items in front of me which was extremely rude considering I had very nice items and beautiful clothes. It goes without saying that some things will be rejected - that is a given with any place except the non-consignment stores but what took the cake was when they refused to accept a beautiful lamp in great condition because it did not have a light bulb. You might want to think through consigning w/them before you go to all that trouble. Don't expect a whole lot. It is very unfortunate as they have great potential.
