Went here in 2007 and asked specifically about their scratch resistant lenses and warranty as we were astonished about a previous store offering no warranty. Eugene Eyewear said they had a 1 yr warranty. I asked: So for 1 year, you will replace the lenses whenever they get scratched? “Yes, absolutely” Few months later, after scratching them with a Kleenex (?!?) we had them replaced. (Again taking 10 days instead of 3-4 as promised) 2 months later: lenses were scratched again. We return to the store with our 1 yr warranty, right? WRONG. Now they tell us that the warranty is only valid for a SINGLE replacement of the lenses! I point out that I had explicitly asked what their warranty was, and that we chose their store only because they had assured us they would replace them for 1 full year. She replied: “It said that on the BACK OF THE RECEIPT” (which of course you get AFTER the exam, choosing lenses and paying). Never said a word when I asked! Avoid this dishonest store at all cost!
