Thanks to Buitron Academy, training with Professeur Paul-Raymund Buitron has greatly enhanced my overall martial arts skills. Professeur Buitron not only brings in but transmits a plethora of experience to his academy. Buitron is dedicated to the improvements of his student’s abilities and/or structure. This is evident in his continuous contact and dedication towards his students, organizations, and certified academies despite his very demanding schedule. Professor Buitron has been my best teacher in pugilism. I remember having walked in to the academy at the age of 24 with an attitude. I had been to most schools in Laredo looking for something that would help me out on the streets. I had been fighting on the streets since I was a boy. But as a streetfighter I quickly learned that fighting on the street isn't fair. It was very difficult to fight one on one in the streets. I was always outnumbered at least 3 to 1, most of the time more. So when I walked into many schools I instantly knew which techniques were useless. And I have to say most of them were. Since the first class I took with Professor Buitron I was hooked. Since then I have recomended everyone I know who is looking to be able to protect his or herself to this school. I have to say that I know I can protect myself and my loved ones a lot better with these teachings. Also I strongly recommend reading Martial Arts of the World which has a section dedicated to this Professor.

I have been fortunate to have met, and to be a student of not just Professeur Buitron, and his father, but most important to be involved in the martial skilled culture of Danse De Rue Savate but more importantly to respect and appreciate life. . I have traveled from martial art school to martial art school here in South Texas and Laredo for several years and believe me I have tried all of the Martial Arts schools in Laredo.. Only to find out that the schools are operated by 19 and 20 year olds telling me how to throw a punch and eventually overcome an aggressor, while commanding me to call them masters. This I cannot swallow since my job has taken me to ill places dealing with harden criminals who show no mercy and these master faces show that they have never experienced a real fight in the street. I travel from Cotulla, Texas three times a week to come train at Buitron Academy, the reality is not theirs; in fact many have never used their apparent skills yet alone trying to teach them. My teacher, is now Professeur Buitron, I remember on one of my visits to the Academy, he told me that learning Danse De Rue Savate is not just about combative aspects but to learn to become a better person. Danse De Rue Savate when studied correctly teaches one to be humble and assist others as well as to appreciate life. He always says that being a good person is not easy and life as a whole is not easy but we are in control of our destiny. Peace
