This complaint concerns Pep Boys on Spring Creek. Simply put, another location (all locations fall under the heading Pep Boys so where the shotty work was done is not ann issue) Took my car in to have the a/c repaired....they gladly took my 200, told me my a/c was fixed....the word fixed as I see it means repaired....two days later hot air was blowing. On the invoice the words "no leak detected" were stated in black and white. I live 2 hours away from this took place...due to that I did seek out the Pep Boys nearest to me. It is simply black and white. Customer pays for service, service is performed and customer is told the problem is fixed....problem returns 2 days later. Pep Boys should be responsible for repairing the a/c the correct way given another chance, WITHOUT myself, the customer paying 2 cents more...even if the first incompetent location overlooked the problem. Pep Boys now wants to keep the 200 given initially and charge 400 in addition to that. In a nutshell I am out 200, the "reapaired" a/c blows hot air and they want 400 to fix. As I understand I lose the 200 already paid. There is right and wrong, good business practices and shady dishonest ones. I was unlucky and fell into the wrong hands.... what a sad way to opperate and establishment
