After my fiancé' found the dress of her dreams and circulated pictures of her find to her friends and family, Le Star contacted us several days later saying there was a "computer glitch" and they mispriced the dress by over $1,000 after initiating the sale, taking measurements, and taking a deposit. Not only was this a big hit to us in itself, but the customer service by the manager (and owner who never even called us back after she was asked to) was horrible and they hid behind the designer. Instead of a call to let us know the news, it was an e-mail. Instead of going out of their way to help us, they tell us we had to pay the new price or go elsewhere. In place of concern and patience for their mistake, we knew from the start that we would have to be the ones to follow-up. In any other line of business, such a mistake would not even be communicated to the customer and it would just be absorbed by the store---not in this case. They stood their ground and offered very little alternatives.

Examples of the horrible and manipulative customer service from the manager included the following options for what to do about the dress: order it in a less expensive fabric (we would not be able to see this before ordering it), buying the floor model after others had tried it on in April (we would not know the condition that the dress would be in and we would have to pay the same price that we had signed for to get a USED dress), or simply pick out a less expensive dress. The manager seemed dumbfounded when we were not satisfied with these options and when I called, she said “I just don’t understand why you people won’t be happy- I have gone out of my way to help you and you just won’t be happy.”

We contacted a lawyer to see what our options were because Le Star gave us a receipt for the original amount. In the law’s view, this was a contract between the store and us, so the lawyer said that we were entitled to the dress at the price that we signed for. However, it would have taken several months for the legal suit to be resolved, and after that time it would have been too late to get the gown because it takes 6 months for it to be ordered. So, we decided that our best option was to get back our deposit and warn everyone that we can against Le Star Bridal’s terrible service and business practices.

I usually don't take the time to review businesses, but the fact that this company and customer service was so terrible to us I had just had to reach out to others to let them know to go elsewhere.
