I will never use this auto repair again and certainly will not recommend it to anyone. My 2000 Chevy S-10 died on me (battery or alternator) in March 2004, and the AAA tow truck driver suggested that I use this auto repair shop. Yes, I know he was steering me and probably got a kickback, too. I was ignorant and just wanted my truck fixed and to get away from the creepy driver, so I agreed to have my American truck fixed at a place that specializes in Foreigns.

It was "supposedly" my alternator, and a few days later, I got my truck back and a bill for $365.00. Okay, fine. I know nothing about autos and my dad lived 600 miles away. A couple of years ago/later, when my dad (who knows autos inside and out) and I were talking while he looked at the truck, he reminded me of my "new" alternator, because he commented that the one I have is the original. By that time, it was far too late to go back and complain.

Yes, it was my fault for my ignorance. HOWEVER, if we all knew how to work on autos, most of these shops would not be in business. We're actually doing THEM a service, but that doesn't mean you need to *** us over. I am convinced that there are no trustworthy mechanics and shops in this area, especially if you are an educated woman with a half-way decent-looking auto. They assume you are stupid and have money to waste. Shame on you, Prestige Foreign Auto Repair.
