I am sorry to see that there is a client who was not pleased with my attempts at intervention. I have strong views that abuse should not be tolerated, and that to stay in an abusive situation, for any reason, is to be held hostage in fear and intimidation. I hope that this individual some day has the courage to leave her abuser. Her entire family will continue to suffer until she is able to commit herself to a life without fear.

Sadly, Virginia doesn't have any experience with Domestic Violence. I can say that I was dumbfounded by her unprofessional attitude and more than greatly disappointed by her obvious concern with "who" was paying her bill! What a horrible setback for any woman who has been verbally, physically, and mentally abused to step inside her office and have her tell you that it was "your" choice and how easy it is for any woman to simply move out and away. Never mind that small children are involved and the highest rate for an abuser to actually "kill" the abused is when they try to leave or exert any authority! Perhaps Virginia needs to go back and further her education!
